Shannon Eaton grew up all over Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Science of Nursing (B.S.N.) degree from Carlow College in Pittsburgh, PA; worked mostly in critical care and as a school nurse substitute for 8 ½ years in Pennsylvania. Shannon has served as a missionary overseas for 14 years in three different Latin American countries as a nurse to at-risk kids and bringing healthcare and evangelism to those living in extreme poverty. Her last four years, she has been serving in member care, caring for missionaries, families and national leadership.
Shannon has been trained in member care through a plethora of courses: a Member Care Course from Heartstream Resources, certified in Creation Therapy from Saratosa Christian Academy in biblical counseling, completed a layman’s course in Formational Prayer from Ashland Theological Seminary, certified in Conflict Coaching and Mediation from Peacemaker Ministries; Member Care 101 from Safe Place Ministry; Member Care Foundations Class from Harry Hoffman; Business as Mission Class from Harry Hoffman; certified in Psychological First Aid from John Hopkins University; certified in Trust-Based Relationships (TBRI) from Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU; certified in Trauma Competent Care from Back2Back Ministries; and various trainings on Third Culture Kids.
Shannon has a passion to care for those in ministry who are wounded and brokenhearted in body, mind, heart, and soul so that they will have optimal health to do ministry that bears much fruit for the Kingdom of God.
Shannon has been blessed with a close, loving, and supportive family. She loves to read, cook, and hang out with family and friends.
